The Dance Experience Competition Team

TDE’s award-winning competition team is built on passion, dedication, and a deep love for dance. Our dancers train in a positive, high-energy environment where elite technique, innovative choreography, and personal growth go hand-in-hand.

We take pride in fostering confident, well-rounded performers who support one another both in and out of the studio. Our team members are held to high standards — not just as dancers, but as teammates, leaders, and individuals.

Being part of TDE’s competition team means more than just competing — it means being part of something bigger. Our dancers take the stage in three regional competitions, with the opportunity to compete at optional competitions each season. At the end of each season,  our team attends nationals, where they showcase their growth, artistry, and teamwork at a high level.

Beyond the competition stage, our team performs in a variety of memorable community and studio events. These include Bristol's annual Mum Parade, Bristol's Christmas Show,  Our end of the year recital, a crowd-pleasing performance at the Hartford Yard Goats, and a heartwarming visit to a local nursing home. 

Each performance gives our dancers a chance to connect with their community and share their love of dance in meaningful ways..

At TDE, we’re proud to foster a supportive and family-like environment through our Big/Little Program. 

Each younger dancer on our competition team is thoughtfully paired with an older dancer who serves as a mentor, role model, and friend throughout the season.

From words of encouragement before taking the stage to small surprises and check-ins along the way, this special bond helps our younger dancers feel confident, connected, and inspired. For our older dancers, it’s a meaningful leadership opportunity that encourages responsibility, kindness, and studio pride.

At TDE, being part of our competition team means more than just dancing — it means belonging to a true dance family. 

We believe that teamwork, support, and strong relationships are just as important as technique and performance. From our youngest dancers to our seasoned competitors, every team member is valued, encouraged, and uplifted.

We celebrate each other’s wins, lift each other through challenges, and grow together both on and off the stage. 

Through shared experiences, mentorship, and genuine friendships, our dancers build bonds that last far beyond the season.
